Hi guys,

A very Off-topic question from me slight_smile

I want to get some more music on my phone and whenever I try and think of great songs, my mind pulls a blank. When I do hear something, I always forget before I get to my phone!

Can you guys please post some of your favourite songs for me to listen to? Any period, any genre and any artist. I need some inspiration.

Cheers!

I too have a very eclectic music taste...I think people imagine at my age I should be listening to Frank Sinatra

(please pass the bucket)...

I grew up in the 60's with the revolution in music that brought..... and can honestly say I love many of todays bands..

Muse and Elbow spring to mind

However out of respect for my other half...here is his all time favourite band (and jonsies)

That reminds me of when The Who were promoting the Maximum R&B release and I had to take a Pinball Machine to the event and make sure it was working all night.

My mum grew up on the 60's with the music revolution and now I love all those bands you mentioned @Cleoriff The Who, Pink Floyd, Bod Dylan ... And I definitely love Elbow, The National ...

Now I'm addicted to this guy, he's playing soon in the UK and I can't wait!

What do you guys think? Be honest!

I use Songkick, amazing app to track your artists and to know when and where are they playing.

Havea look at it, it's amazing!

Seems that you didn't like too much Ty Segall slight_frown

I think I didn't tell you guys but I have a personal objective: every month I have to listen to at least 4 different new bands, would be great if you could help me to achieve it Help Need some suggestions!

Re new bands @Anonymous ....not sure how 'out there' you want to go?

My eldest lad supports a local band called Sci Fi Mafia...they are very OTT...and often do their stage show with the brilliant GloBot...

My personal opinion is, musically they leave a lot to be desired...but they DO put on a great show....

I love bands who can hold your interest with a damn good performance. One of the reasons I love Prodigy Bouncy

Cleoriff & jonsie ..... the other Who video clip you put up Cleoriff ..... We Won't Get Fooled Again ..... watched/listened to it intently ..... yep, as a child growing up in the 60s ..... was well aware of the band ..... a long track for a start ..... musically/showmanship-like they gave it their All + More on stage, I can see that now, ..... I'd have never been allowed to go to the top bands up at Leeds university ..... not much in the way of tatoos were there then + that rather tight t-shirt worn by fabulous front man Roger Daltry + denims worn rather tight around the lower torso of the body ..... & ..... dare I say it, bell bottoms (posh word flares came later, I think) ..... put the track on 1st at local town's working men's club juke-box ..... = ..... it was still playing after I'd made my selection of 5 for a £1 ..... means |I had some sitd-down time to enjoy the track ..... probably pi*sed the old giffers in the other semi-sectioned off part of the WMC bar ..... we're a-rockin' & a-rollin' Smiley Very Happy
