Of course, that is an interesting interpretation of "silence".
Does silence now include the written word (inc texts, emails etc) or does it still just refer to the spoken word....?

with all the rubbish that gets posted sometimes its perhaps a testament that maybe people should just stop, stop doing anything for 2 minutes and see what can be achieved in reality.

On a forum i would class the written word as spoken

Any ceremonial silence period is represented by people stopping whatever they are doing and standing respectfully silent for an agreed length of time so yes, not emailing, texting etc should be included.

So it's not really the thing to do to FB a selfie standing in silence.

What an interesting thought.....Will be the first year for a long time that I am not at a football match with my grandson. His team and ones they  played always observed the 2 mins silence...as did all the parents and coaches etc..
