I'm soooooo glad it got extended.

So I'm able to see it end of the month.

The day the first one got "planted" I was at the Tower in the evening and saw it. Incredible what became of it now.

Sadly I never get a chance to get one of the poppies which get sold during this weekend -.-

My Father lost his Brother on Jan 17th 1941 and was lucky enough to be able to get a Poppy in his remembrance, which he is passing to my son who was born on Jan 17th 2006

One of the most beautiful displays I have ever seen. They actually were totally unaware of how successful this was going to be...:smileywink:

Remembrance Sunday: UK prepares for ceremonies

Excerpt from the BBC News Link "

The Queen will lead commemorations later to honour members of the armed forces killed in conflict.

She will be joined by political leaders and veterans for a ceremony at the Cenotaph in London - the focal point of the UK's Remembrance Sunday services.

Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast will be among the places paying their respects.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One, 70 years since the D-Day landings and the end of Britain's conflict in Afghanistan.

Prime Minister David Cameron said that these anniversaries made this year "particularly poignant"."

Apparently they are leaving the display for a while longer...and then the poppies are going 'on tour' to various art and historical sites (according to BBC news)
