new sim - not connected yet??

I got a new Sim and the 02 shop said it would take 24 hours to connect. It's now 24 hours on and NO CONNECTION. Why is this?

Thanks all. Went to an 02 retail store, assistant confirmed it was an 02 mistake in terms of filling out the form wrongly in store and now fixed.
