Hi,
I want to upgrade through the app which I understand the process. I just want to know what happens with my current device? Do I get to keep it or does it have to be traded in?
Thanks

When you upgrade your number transfers over and any payment outstanding on the old phone would be added to your first bill of your new contract.

You keep your old phone and it doesn't get blocked in any way.

- Additional question -
Does my number get automatically transferred to the new device and if so, is the old device then blocked?

@jonsie thanks for your reply.
By outstanding payments do you mean the full amount left on the account or just a monthly payment that is outstanding?

When I go on my upgrade it says I can do that for £423. Does that mean all of that is added to my new bill?

Yes, that is the device settlement cost and will be added at checkout if you upgrade.

It must be paid at the point you upgrade.
