Tried to pay bills by telephone to O2. Constantly on phone system for 3/4 hour being passed around loads of dept. Then get kicked out before payment can be made. Then get demands for unpaid bills! Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Paid up all money owed, and requested they close account. Next thing, I get a demand from debt collection for £85 when 2 days ago I paid everything owed, including £4.85 which debt agency demanded 2 days later. It took me about 5 hours distributed over 2 days to pay that.

Today (few days later) I get a debt collection demand for £80+

Who is this O2 company. Do they have any experience with communications?

When the debt collection asked for money it needed paying to them, not O2

Undoubtedly the payments crossed if there were only a couple of days between payment and the letter.

The only department that can handle this is Payment Management

team on 0800 902 0217.

The opening times are:

Monday to Friday – 8am to 8pm

Saturday – 8am to 6pm

Sunday – 9am to 6pm

If you haven't a phone download Skype to ring that number free of charge

Guide: A Guide to Skype

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Alimooncheese Had you been on a Direct Debit, which is what you're meant to do, you could have avoided all of that grief. To cancel your contract see this: Cancelling your contract - An updated guide - O2 Community

You can use Skype Guide: A Guide to Skype to speak to Payment Management for free on +44800 902 0217 should you need to contact O2 again.

You can also reach O2 via social media:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (now X) (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
