Transfer number across to O2

Ordered a new Sim for my wife on Thursday and gave the agent a PAC code when ordering to transfer her number across to O2
SIM arrived today and is working but with temporary number. Looking online it states it will take 24 hours for the number to transfer. Is that 24 hours from when SIM was input into the phone? Or should it already be sorted having given it to agent on Thursday last week? Do I need to do anything else? Tried to call and live chat but not getting through.

Still on the new temp number rather than number I wanted bring across. Should I can now? What’s the best route to speak to somebody as always get no where when trying to get through
