I've just had a text saying my order's gone through but I haven't ordered anything. When I look at the order it just says VAS change £36.97 a month. Am I a victim of fraud?

O2 has let us know that these order messages were due to an error and that the notifications have now stopped. They're investigating why it happened but no need to worry.
There was also another notification that went out regarding a billing change/correction (this is the overage allowance charges). That is a legitimate message and the change can be viewed in My O2 for those that received that notification.

Just had the same .... its all from official O2 sources - I think VAS means "Value added service" - didn't know I had any.

It does mean Value Added Services https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly/quot-Value-added-service-quot/td-p/778905
Value added services (VAS)in mobiles means those services that are offered by telecom service providers to customers beyond the core services like SMS, voice and data.

I've not requested that though so doesn't make sense. The order was placed at 3am when I was asleep. I've contacted o2 so waiting for them to get back to me. Thanks for replying though

I have tagged our managers @Martin-O2 and @Breanna for an explanation about these order texts. Normal orders start with MS and these are stating NC.

I have had the same thing come through, forwarded it to the phishing email list but starting to think this is a standard genuine upgrade on the O2 side with catastrophically bad customer communications given it's creating panic and there are already a LOT of scam attempts on O2 accounts at the moment. Very poor planning on their part if this is all genuine.
