On the new sign in Virgin Media plus 02 my password is already showing

When I completed the new sign in to Virgin Media and 02 the password I had set up was already showing in the box. I am sure this is not right. It happens with my husbands account as well.

We are both in our seventies, so please can you make the answer easy.

Are you signing in on the website or the phone App?

If the former It may well be that the browser remembers your password.

Its definitely the browser remembering the password, and the fact you have an authentication cookie for the o2 website now... so you are auto logged in. 

But nothing to do with o2...

I am signing into the website. When I get to password it is showing dots and at the side of dots if I press the password comes up without me putting it in

How can I stop the browser remembering password. I dont know what an authentication cookie is. I am 75 and I though to get into my O2 account I had to register with Virgin Media and 02. I am not very computer savvy
