My O2 App says I am a new customer when I have been a customer for years now. Please help me in sorting this out. Thank you.

It could be that you are been migrated to the new billing platform, and the app hasn't caught up yet.
It might also be worth logging out completely, going into app settings and clearing the app storage and cache, and then logging back in as well.
If not then you will need to speak to Customer Services if you send them a message on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), or you can call 202 from your o2 phone
