Arrgh.  A mast is down in our area, has been for ages and doesn't look like its being mended til at least 16th April.  I'm working from home with my poorly daughter and now is really not a good time to not be able to call anyone.

I think I might be able to do wifi calling.  But I can't because you need a mobile confirmation to set it up.  I can't get through to anyone at O2, I can't find the chat thing, nobody replies to emails, I'm giving up hope here and I'm getting massively fed up.

Can anyone help please.

@JoR74

It should already be set up if you can use it.

Check if your device is compatible here https://www.o2.co.uk/connectivity/wifi-and-4g-calling

Its a new phone, my old one couldn't do it as it was a 5 but this is an XR.  It says I need to speak to o2 to have it enabled on my account.  If I try to do it online it tries to send me a security code, but I can't receive texts.

Is there anyone official I can ask? I’m waiting for news from a hospice, I really need to be able to get calls. I’ve used twitter, Facebook and email.

What do you need the text for?
Wifi calling is on all accounts by default?

When I click O2 WiFi calling on this phone, it comes up with a message to contact O2 to enable it on account. And then it tries to send me a security code by text.

I can’t call O2 or receive texts so this is why I need to speak to them. 👍

You'll have to try calling via Skype https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Off-Topic/A-Guide-To-Skype/m-p/1305104/highlight/true#M181823

Ok I’ve downloaded Skype. Am I just looking for O2? Is there a certain name or number?
