Hi, my husband and I are trying to get our Virgin/O2 Volt benefits, however, having trouble because the address on my husband's O2 account does not match the Virgin account. This is because O2 have it down with a house name, and Virgin don't. We do not use the house name as it was added by the previous owner, and when adding our address online anywhere else, we always have the option to use the address without the house name, and just the number. But O2 are telling my husband that they 'cannot' change it. Yet, my O2 account does not have the house name, so it must be possible. But even after multiple calls by my husband, O2 are still saying they can't. I have looked further at my account, and now if I try to change my address, the only option is the version with the house name.
We do not want to pay the £150 to the council to get the house name removed, nor do I want to have to add the house name to my O2 account, and the Virgin account, when we don't use it.
Does anyone know if there is a true restriction here for O2? I don't understand how no-one would be able to edit it manually. Royal Mail's postcode finder has the option of using the house name, or just the house number. If anyone else has been through this and knows what steps we can take I would be grateful for your help!
Thanks!

Best advice is to message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (X) (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
