I’ve just set up my first ever contract with o2 for my mobile phone. Does the payment come out of my account automatically or do I have to pay it?

A direct debit would have been setup so your bill is paid automatically.

Yes @Yams that is correct.

When you receive your email from O2 regarding your bill, you will see it say "we will collect this amount on <date>"
