No need at all. You can use the sim in any phone.

All you'll need to do is contact O2 for a 5g sim if you wish to connect to 5g services, as your old sim will only be 4g unless it's a recent new one.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

You can get one from any O2 store or by calling customer services.

Either pop into an o2 store or call customer services on 202 from your mobile or 0344 809 0202

When you get the sim then follow the instructions in the packaging to do a sim swap
- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

If going in store, they will do the sim swap for you.
They will send a text to your phone to confirm it's you, so you need your phone with you.
