SIM swap instructions need correction

The printed instructions that come with a SIM swap say first, swap the SIM. Then go online to activate the new sim. This sends a text.

However with the new SIM in the phone, there is "no service" and the text cannot be received.

Putting the old SIM back in the phone allows the code number text to be received.

The instructions should say go online first, and only swap the SIM once the online activation has been done.

Text SWAP to 20220 from your old sim

You are then asked for the SSN of the new sim

Once the old sim has lost signal, the swap has begun

Then put the new sim in the phone and reboot at 5 minute intervals

Once that new sim is connected the swap is complete @Alan1nckc

The easiest way is to text "SWAP" from the old sim and follow the instructions that are returned.
