unwanted sales calls on mobiles and landline

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am really sick of all the calls I get on my mobile and landline at all hours-sometimes late at night or early in the morning from companies selling insurance or asking if I want to claim interest back from loans. I also get foreign voices that I can hardly understand raambling on about their company they want to promote. Sometimes when Ive told them not to use my phone number and I ring off they keep ring back..Infuriating.  Anybody have ideas on how I can stop this. Some of the calls are recorded messages..even more maddening. I have contacted the telephone preference service on two occasions in the last couple of years  but the problem is still occurring.  HELP!!

You could change your number free if it's that bad.

Thanks. most helpful. Can't understand why the law in this country doesn't make it illegal.

It is illegal for UK companies to make uninvited sales calls.

You can join and complain to:

with mobile and home numbers.

Foreign numbers can't be stopped.
