hi
my brother-in-law rings from his vodafone landline starting 01782 to my o2 mobile number starting 07722.
as soon as the 02 number is answered, it disconnects at both ends.
he doesn't have that problem when ringing other mobile numbers on different networks.
there is no problem when the 02 mobile rings the 01782 landline.
vodafone have checked everything at their end and say should ask 02 about it.
so is it an 02 problem?

What happens if the CLI (the phone number calling) of the landline is masked, eg by prefixing the number of the O2 phone with 141? ie 14107722....
I suspect some blocking somewhere on the O2 side, but at your phone end, @elkmanstoke - the number may have inadvertently been blocked, eg by swiping away a notification rather than removing it (for example).

Do you or your brother in law know anyone else with an O2 mobile @elkmanstoke ?
It would be relevant to know if it is just your O2 mobile or any O2 mobile that causes his 'phone to behave in that manner. 👍
