Guys - whilst its painful to hear your stories - its kinda refreshing (strangely) to have found this site this evening and realise there are other poor souls having exactly the same issue.
My claim accepted 29/09/10 and text confirming. Exact same run around you guys have been having with the insurance company. Lost it demanded to make complaint - got a nice letter saying they would view my complaint god knows when.
The one change I got earlier this week was speaking to a Supervisor who gave her name as 'Carly'. Carly was good enough to mention that due to the sheer volume of claims/complaints that a high powered meeting took place with teh Underwriters last Friday to try and resolve. This in teh main due to the 3GS 16GB black no longer being made and Carly, bless her, said teh Underwriters may have to give out iphone4 phones due to the huge problems with claims...!
Anyhow, might just be a staff members speculation but 3 weeks plus on and no further forward.
I will never ever take out any O2 Contract/Insurance again. First time with O2. First time ever I have made a claim on any mobile insurance in all the donkey years I have had mobiles. Never told of change of t&c's as I was expecting a new phone for old as per teh terms I was given.
Had to buy a #### Nokia to get me by - then told I could possibly have a loan yesterday - then told they were out of stock anyway!!
This is meant to be a Market Leader in mobile phone contracts, phones, applications, terms and everything else that goes with running a business.
A business - what an absolute farce. O2 should upgrade what would cause them a few extra quid with their buying power - from the massive negative press this is no doubt going to bring.
