o2 got the Xperia Pro-I exclusively as a network provider, available for pre order now, at £54 a month.
Not that you'll hear much about the fact it's available or that it's O2 exclusive, because it's not an iPhone or a Samsung.

In all seriousness it would be a good starting point before getting a proper camera setup. At least you would have z better idea rather than being overwhelmed with all the options available.

@viridis I was pricing the Sony Alpha dslr camera equivalent. Base price is about 2000 with a standard lens attachment. Makes me wonder if it would be worth just holding out for that full size sensor and lens plus twice the megapixel captured.
Although I love the fact you can have nearly that sort of quality in a compact mobile format. Obviously anybody who buys this or the full alpha camera would have to be a serious user not a social media luvvy.

Well truth be told, I have both. An A7m3 full frame camera, and an Xperia pro-I.
You'll get to read all about the Xperia Pro-I quite/fairly soon, but the general feeling is that this is by far, the best mobile phone camera I've ever used. Edge to edge perfect sharpness, absolutely stunning video, possibly even better videothan what I've got out of my A7, it's just an absolute monster.
