So tomorrow is the big day - windows 10 rolls out!
Microsoft will release it at midnight ET - which is 5am BST.
However, don't expect to get it tomorrow - Microsoft are carefully managing the updates as obviously the demand will be huge - I, like others have 'reserved' my upgrade via the little app they popped onto my laptop.
Another interesting aspect of Windows 10 is that this is the way the updates are applied has changed. Updates will happen on a regular basis and for most users of windows 10 are mandatory, the idea being Microsoft want all users on all devices running the same software.
Having read some reviews I am quite excited by the update - I suppose time will tell if there are some hidden technical issue timebombs!

2 channels, young whippersnapper, BBC2 didn't arrive until 1967..........

I seem to remember ITV arriving around 1957/8 but it's a long time ago......

1955 ITV started.
No idea why I waffled on about BBC2........

I didn't have it back then but I remember seeing the Pepsodent ad at my cousin's house.

Following the Television Act of 1954 which made commercial television in the UK possible, ITV first began broadcasting in 1955 on Channel 3 in the London area.

Granada covered the North from 1956. I didn't realise Robin Hood started in 1955; it was a favourite along with Supercar (I still have my Supercar drivers licence!)

Anyhow, I have been in the Windows 10 Insider preview for a few months (using it occasionally in a Virtual Machine inside Windows 7), and am looking forward to getting Windows 10 on my laptop. The icon tells me to wait patiently when I click it for updates. Ah well.
