Why are O2 still using DHL for deliveries...

Firstly, if you look at Trustpilot (just one example) DHL's ratings have dropped off the proverbial cliff recently. I have been waiting for a delivery from DHL e-Commerce which is just cycling round with the 'arrived at depot' message, sometimes twice a day. I have phoned O2 customer support who managed to contact DHL who updated the tracking details to say 'delivery tomorrow'. Guess what - another 'depot arrival' the next day; no sign of any delivery.

Phoned DHL Customer Support as e-mails are being ignored; so much for the 'working day reply'. It took 5 (five) attempts to get past the 'busy' signal. Still awaiting the promised call-back.

O2 should be moving their business. It's no good promising free next day delivery if the courier chosen & presumably being paid for that service is unable to do so. In the meantime, of course, I am being charged for a device and a data plan that I can't use...

Who do you want? Evri, Yodel, Royal Mail, Parcelforce, DPD, Man with a Van?

I probably get 3 or DHL parcels a month, no problem

It's O2's responsibility in law to get the package to you. They should do the chasing

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

You're lucky they don't use Evri purely because they're cheap... They might be stupidly cheap but they've proven to be worse than useless most times I've used them as both a buyer and seller on eBay.

I have been an eBay seller myself, both personal and business (until recently), for more than 20 years, so have used a range of couriers, UK and international, over that time. I am, unfortunately, aware of the many irritations involved in doing so for both seller and purchaser. However, most of them have provided, by and large, an acceptable level of service.

I think this experience, however, takes the biscuit. I would mind a little bit less if DHL e-commerce didn't just ignore e-mails, have a contact phone number that's available (being put on hold at least, rather than the 'busy' signal most of the time), ignored their client and, well, communicated other than 'arrived at depot' in some way.

I also think what I should have said was 'Other couriers are available and perhaps O2 should be using a range of them'...

Yeah, I mean Royal Mail are far from perfect but even they're better than most of the famous Couriers.

They're just a bit more expensive, bit if you pay a bit more, the service is better.

Royal Fail is the term I would use for Royal Mail...

The gold standard is DPD or UPS, followed by Fedex, DHL and then Evri and Royal Fail, and then in last place Yodel...

@madasaf1sh DPD are also useless most of the time, but they're better than Evri.

You do seem to have a problem with every business who has the misfortune to deal with you...
