Mine was a Nokia, mid or late 1990s, about the size of a box containing a tube of toothpaste, and came in a leather pouch with a belt clip thereon :-

It was on BT Cellnet in the days when you could ring Customer Services - in Bradford maybe ? - and any problems would be solved in the blink of an eyelid.

Numerous posts on the very same subject already.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I remember sending my first text message @Pipstop78 ; but my first "mobile" 'phone came with a huge aerial and also had a small bag to carry it in as it was massive.

If I recall correctly, that was before BT Cellnet came into being. It was on Mercury One to One, the only other UK network at the time being Vodaphone.
