I received a call from 02038939670 telling me with a strong foreign accent that due to recent merger between virgin and 02 I would need a new sim or my number would be blocked in 4 days. Of course he had my number since he calling me on it. I know I had to put a new sim in some while back after the Virgin O2 switch. I cut the call off before he started on the usual attempts to get information or codes.

I also have just had a call from 02086388242, strong accent and talking about a new sim arriving tomorrow and big discount but had to pass me on to a ‘manager’ who started shouting at me “listen listen” as I told him I can just receive the new card he then asked for my email address for ‘verification’ I told him it was my name etc, he could get that cos he was thick  so I cut him off. Quite a horrible experience.
