Hi,

I have the VM /O2 backup dongle but despite the coverage checker saying I should have good 4g indoor and outdoor service Ithe dongle just doesn't get a signal. VM's engineer suggested it could be a faulty dongle so that was repolaced along with a new sim card but has made no difference. Any suggestions welcome

Dead right. It's obviously fully integrated. Just don't understand why I am not getting a signal.

In that case, don't they only kick in when the router goes down?

Maybe they don't work if the wifi router is performing normally?

Might be useful Hitron Router Guide | Virgin Media Business ??

Thanks.

I've read the router guide front to back several times  and also the setup guide for the dongle, that's why I came to this forum I really have exhausted all options. You're right they do only kick in when the BB goes down but they should always be registered on the o2 network. There's a series of lights and on mine it simply indicates that it isn't regidtered. You can test in the router and I just get "test failed"

@PJW11

It's not 100% accurate anyway but what does it suggest for your signal here O2 Service Status ?

@MI5

Q1 - Yes.

Q2 - the BT/EE version only kicks-in when the Broadband connection drops. But it maintains its mobile connection at all times and is effectively "on standby" and ready to take over within 60 seconds of a Broadband drop out.

I assume the VM/O2 version works similarly.
