Terrible xmas

I upgraded my sons o2 contract in CPW and wasn't told I could not return or cancel within the cooling down period that o2 have. I got the wrong phone and tried to return it but they wouldn't except it or wouldn't cancel the contract now I'm going to have a very disappointed son on xmas morning. What can I do ? Any advice would be appreciated. I definitely won't be dealing in CPW again.

Hi @Millymouse According to this article if you bought a new phone from CPW on contract even sim only you ARE allowed to exchange within 14 days if on O2 network..IF you bought it instore

Edited to add...I have noticed by scrolling down the page..if you upgrade an existing contract...then no you can't according to the article

CPW don't allow returns on upgrades unfortunately.
All you can do is complain to them I guess but you could also see if O2 will help you http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Another option is to sell the phone to CEX so it releases you some funds to get the correct phone https://uk.webuy.com/

I don't understand how o2 can let a 3rd party do upgrades if they don't stand by the same policies

Pretty appalling @Millymouse. £45??...I agree, it would be much better if they adhered to the same policy as the network they are linking the phone to...
