I wondered if anyone here has noticed a decline in the level of customer service provided by O2? I had a terrible experience over the last 2 days that has resulted in me leaving O2 after many years . I am out of contract on my SIM plan and had seen a deal on USwitch for a 30gb plan at £8 a month for 12 months. I called customer service and was told I couldn’t have that deal as it was new customers only. I then asked for a PAC code so that I could switch providers at which point I was told I could have the deal! I was then told there was a technical glitch in finishing my order so they would call me within the hour to complete. No phone call. The next day I called customer service to see if we could complete the order and was the told I couldn’t have the deal. I was offered 50gb at £10 a month and then 30gb for £8 but on a 24 month contract. I was fuming. Clearly a load of sales nonsense. I took the PAC code and have signed up to Lebara. None of this would have happened if O2 customer service had sorted out the contract and not tried to rip off a loyal customer. Very very disappointed.

The uSwitch deals are specific deals for new customers, and only via uSwitch and not existing customers and it is made clear on uSwitch's website.. And if even if you could do it you can only do it online..
EE, Voda and Three all do the same with these deals..
This is because these companies make no money in commission when exisiting customer get the deals..
I have a feeling the person on the phone realised it wasnt going to allow them to do it, and they used an excuse to get you off the phone...
None of this is news to any of us on here.
At the end of the day Lebara do some good deals like £1 for 50GB of data for 9mths..

50 Gig data for £1? What's the catch? I'm currently paying £15 a month and I only get 30 Gig.

Oh how much more Google can reveal to those who know how to use it, @Anonymous
Bear in mind Lebara is Vodafone/Three.

But not bad at all.
Good if you want to try Vodafone Tree on extended trial

I have a £1 deal that I use to keep a number alive, and had no issues...
When it comes to the renewal port out, and then port back in to a new deal

Have the exact same issue, O2 customer for long time (>10 years) found a better deal on USwitch, £8 / 12 months, 32Gb and cannot access unless I leave O2, so going to move to Lebra, see how I get on. Real shame. Customer Services cannot give me the deal.
