Slow internet connection

Hi. Has anybody else had this problem. Im on o2 and my internet connection is very slow. I can receive whatsapp messages ok but if i want to connect to Facebook or surf it takes forever to load. Wifi is absolutely fine. I went to the o2 shop yesterday and they suggested a sim swap. Still waiting for this to happen as per other postings but at least my old sim working for now. Will it make any difference. does anyone have the same problem?

Definitely go with the sim change.

 

As a matter of interest, have you been able to connect in other areas or is it just a local problem?

Check with O2 to see if there's a mast fault in your area that's not showing in Service Status.

Im out and about tomorrow so will try again. Only had this phone a week. Iphone 5. It didnt work outside the trafford centre yesterday. Thats why i went to the shop.

Definitely not a local problem then. If the sim change doesn't solve the problem there may be a problem with the phone.

 

Let us know how you get on once you have the new sim connected.

Looking on the iPhone community part of the forum I'm not the only one having a problem with their 3G. I will see what happens when the sim swap happens.  Thanks for the advice. Fingers crossed. Shame what has happened with O2 recently.  Some very unhappy customers.  Been fantastic normally. Much better coverage than other networks where I live and normally great customer service.

If it does prove to be a phone issue, make an appointment with the genius at your nearest Apple store rather than returning it via O2. They will change the phone for you straight away.
