I have had no network coverage for weeks. Finally spoke to a customer assistant who promised a reduction for the duration of the issues. Just received normal bill over the last few days. Feeling really frustrated with the customer service and the level (lack of) of service I'm actually getting)

There is nothing anyone on this customer to customer community can do, but empathise with you. But you are lucky to even get an offer for a reduction, as the T&C's dont guarantee coverage or service availability.
The only thing you can do is call o2 back and hope someone has put notes in the system for you. Guide: How to find help & contact O2
