I was with O2 right up until last month when my sim only ended. I moved to pay as you go O2 for a month and today went to take a new 12 month sin only but was refused due to failing credit check.
Yet I went to Vodafone and they accepted with no issues.
My credit score is 810 only debt i have is Klarna with Samsung which is almost done.
Never missed a single payment with O2 or Klarna

@FMCCOOL302 As customers we wouldn't know the criteria O2 use to check someone's credit. Vodafone has accepted your request, so maybe you can look on this as a lucky escape.

It isn't just about your credit score.
For example, could you have failed the identity check ? Are you on the Electoral Register at your current address ? Have you moved home recently ?
Unfortunately, you will never find out why as the reasons for failure are shrouded in secrecy.
At least Vodaphone took you on. 👍
