O2 Upgrade Recommendation

Anonymous
Not applicable

Does anyone know how O2 work out the "Recommended for you" options when you try and upgrade on-line?

I have a Windows Phone (I know I'm sad) on a £24/month Tariff.

My "Recommended for you" options were an iPhone 7 at £45/month, an iPhone 7 plus at £50/month and a Samsung Galaxy S7 at £37/month all with additional up front costs for the phones.

Why would O2 think I would be interested in any of these devices / tariffs?

Me thinks they just offer everyone the most expensive phones, so come on O2 if your not going to make sensible recommendations ditch the "for you" ! !

Reccommendations for you bear no relation to the phone you use or your os preference. Think money, think top end phone with the most profit and markup.....iphone of course as bad as they are!

Of course they do.

It's called marketting wink

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I've actually never used it...but based on those recommendations for a Windows user they are quite laughable really...
