Hi all
so I have tried to port my number over which was an o2 number a few weeks ago but I decided to move to IDmobile that didn’t last long. So I’m trying to move my number back! Here’s where the problem starts! Thurs 14th PAC code entered and confirmed porting date 15th. Friday 15th 1:30pm old Sim goes off and I’m thinking an hour or two and it will transfer well it didn’t 2 calls to 202 was told it would be done before 10pm it wasn’t. Saturday 16th I message o2 via twitter and I’m told porting has failed and it’s now with IT with no timescales on when this will be resolved. So I’ve been without my primary number for 36 hours and counting. How long is this going to take to resolve? Why has this gone wrong!

This is a customer to customer community, not O2, so we cannot access your account, sorry.
You need to contact O2.
Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (X) (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (contract) 4445 or 0344 8090222 (PAYG)

Find it bizzare why they can’t give a timescale or explanation

Is there a way to get my number back that is stuck porting and move it to another network as this is a joke!

Nothing can be done until the system releases your number.
Hundreds of such issues on here that only patience resolves.

If it's in the system the answer appears to be "No"

I would advise anyone against porting in or out until O2 get their act together
When that will be is anyones' guess...
