No access to Network

Hello. My phone says 'No access to network' which has never happened to me before. Is there an issue with o2's network? Anyone else with this problem? Or is it something to just do with me?

I can't even ring o2 to tell them! Any advice?

I have had the same problem since Tuesday night, I went to the O2 shop in Cardiff yesterday, they just said to not send any texts and turn my phone off for an hour, when I turn it back on it should be ok. I have done this so many times and still have the same problem. Its a problem with a mast in Bristol, apparently affecting Orange, T-mobile and Tesco as well.

Cheers - I'll try this but I can't see it working. It's common practice for o2 employees to give this advice out all the time regardless of the problem. Should I take the sim out when I turn it off?

If the problem you have is due to network then taking the sim out wont really make a difference. Just try every so often with switching the phone off and back on again so the handset looks for network updates.

It's now mid-morning on Thursday and my mobile phone has not worked since the debacle of Tuesday evening. I've rung O2 customer service twice but they were about as much help as a chocolate parasol in a heatwave !!
Is anyone else still unable to use their O2 mobile? (I'm in sunny Swansea) or is it just me??

I'm also in Swansea and i can't recive or make calls, but i can text and receive texts. Thing is, i apparently send 5 of the same texts each time, so luckily i have the "Unimited" tariff so i can call / text other o2 numbers free otherwise all my credit would have gone within a few texts to my family!

O2 need to do something, were kept in the dark here. I require my phone daily and this has made a huge impact this week.

we in swansea too got the same with texts but we cant make calls we also have that £15 unlimited but no good when cant use it and we been down since begining of the week only phones in the house is 02 just bit of advice after sending a text go into ur outbox and when it says waitting delete it as it already sent but will keep sending other wise and ppl who not on unlimited will lose cerdit

I can now make calls but my phone is still sending multiple texts until I delete them from my outbox....

Guess what – at long last I am back on the air and I can now make and receive calls on my mobile phone !!!
This was after my third call to O2 customer service, when I was told that I would need a new SIM card, and that the quickest way to get one would be to visit the nearest O2 shop for a replacement. Before I did that I gave it one more try, switching off, waited half an hour or so, and then switching back on …… and this time it worked …. I could make & receive calls….. whoopee!
So for anyone else still struggling to get service …… persevere ……it does seem to suddenly come back to life !!

I can confirm there is a problem on the O2 network this morning involving data access (GPRS etc.) and texts.

O2 do not have an ETA for a resolution to this issue!

Seems to be resolving in sone areas but getting worse in Derby - 3G was out of the question this morning but now even the snail-pace 'basic' connection us on and off

I'm in Yorkshire and I've had nothing all day, can receive and make calls but that's about it!

Off again/still in Derby this morning...well over 24hrs now and so far I've had about 20mins 3G connection
