I have got a new Vodafone SIM for my son to use in my husband’s old phone (O2). It won’t work in the phone so I’m guessing we need to get the phone unblocked. I can’t get through to o2 (obviously, because nobody can!) - is there any other work around that anyone knows of?

See here Guide: Unlocking an O2 phone to use a different SIM card

Thanks @M15 and @jonsie
I’m not sure what the phone tel number was (I have the IMEI but that’s it). The phone was just an old work one that was upgraded - my husband wasn’t 100% which member of the team had it - but we know that his firm has been with o2 for years so know it’s an o2 phone. I take it that if I don’t have the tel number, that’s going to be an issue?

You just need the IMEI number to complete the form.
If it won't go through, you'll have to call customer service Guide: How to find help & contact O2
