Mistakes in O2 emails, non secure domains links, dead links and order tracking not working!

Hi all, I've just slid over to O2 recently.

I've noticed some basic issues and mistakes so just mentioning here so they maybe can be picked up and addressed. Not urgent, I don't need support on this.

 

O2 emails:

There are some mistakes.

The "Get Ready. Your sim's on its way" email. Letter P is missing and not a secure link

adding the P does load the page and it does change to a secure page also.

http://www.o2.co.uk/hel  

 

This mistake also remains in:

"Get ready. Your order's on its way"

and "Get Ready. Your sim's on its way" email.

  http://o2.uk/O2Welcome

It just fails and gives a timeout or "Secure site not available" error.

It shouldn't be a non secure address anyway!

Manually changing to https://o2.uk/O2Welcome  doesn't work, it times out.

Changing to https://www.o2.co.uk/O2Welcome  this time it's a 404 type page error!

 

Order tracking not working!

For me at least Order Tracking isn't working. The tracking number still isn't working after 4 days.

And my 2nd order also the tracking number comes back with the same message on Royal Mail.

"Sorry - we don't recognise that number. Please check the information to make sure your tracking code is correct."

 

Order status for both order is "On its way to you" within my O2 account so hopefully this is just a glitch with Royal Mail.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

wrt order tracking numbers, anything sent via RM has an internal tracking number only.

It will not change status until the item is delivered - It should be made clear, but that's how it's always been.

@H2oo7 There are errors on this site that go back years and have never been addressed, despite them being pointed out time and time again. By all means bring them up, but don't expect it to make much difference.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Thanks for the reply.

I must admit I've not used RM for a long while, but I thought that if the sender had entered the number on the RM system it should at least give a status message rather than simply "Sorry - we don't recognise that number"

In saying that one number looks like RM and the other doesn't for the 2nd order!

Anyway, both numbers don't track and it's way over a reasonable delivery date by now.

I can't check if the orders have turned up yet.

Oh I see, well these are basic and quick errors to fix, but I'll never know unless I place another order.
