@Vera54

There are some other tips to try :

  • Make sure Mobile data and data roaming is enabled
  • Turn off 5G
  • Turn Airplane mode off then on (This often kickstarts things)
  •   Reboot phone.
  •   Manually search for a different network
  •   If using an iPhone, change data apn to  mobile.o2.co.uk
  •   Call customer service to check for any roaming bars applied to your account.
  •   If none of this works you need to contact O2

All methods of contacting O2 are in this guide Guide: How to find help & contact O2

Or call using Skype Guide: A Guide to Skype

Thank you cleoriff. I had already done all you suggested. Also Went to Samsung store, they said it was the provider. Been in contact with O2, they checked my account/settings and didn’t know why I can’t phone out and still waiting for them to come back to me. They can’t even tell me why “call barring” is not highlighted and I cannot select it.

@Vera54

If you've already been in touch with O2, there's nothing extra we can tell you here as we are just customers like yourself on this community.
I can give you this info on Call Barring on Samsung phones

https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/mobile-devices/how-to-activate-and-use-the-call-barring-feature-o...

It's in your phone app settings. However, if you could make and receive calls whilst in UK, there's no reason why this won't work when abroad. It's not something that's easily activated in error.

I actually wanted you ask O2 if there was a ROAMING bar on your account.

Also don't expect anyone from O2 to ring you back. That won't happen. You will need to contact them again to ask any further questions.

Have you got Wifi calling on your device? If so, turn it on.

Best of luck 👍
