Hello,
My o2 contract recently expired. I have two Nokia 105 phones registered to my account. One is a 2g handset and one recently changed to 4g. I do not use data on either device. I do not want it. Why did the customer services advisor insist on including 40gb data on the new contract despite my protestations when I do not want to use data? Why, when I have two devices on the account, did he insist on treating each device separately, and taking me through security verification twice over for two devices that are on the same account? This was a prime example of duplication. The whole harrowing process took 75 minutes to complete. I phoned o2 customer services subsequently to bitterly complain why I was not properly listened to. Thankfully, I found someone who was prepared to listen and changed me to a cheaper tariff for 3gb data. This saved me £11.98 monthly. Pensioners like me who do not want to use data at all, are being effectively discriminated against. Why is a basic sim card not available and a separate sim card which has data built in? My two devices are used for the following purposes: - 1. Making calls. 2. Receiving calls. 3. Sending and receiving text messages. 4. Storing phone numbers. When are service providers going to wake up and give due consideration to pensioners (and others) like myself who do not wish to embrace the latest technology? Well, I'm asking. Anybody care to answer?
Regards,
roddersac

They used to have a tariff that did just what you wanted
It was a £5 sim that offered only minutes and texts
I was under the impression that this was still an option
Anyone know if this is still available?

Only on PAYG.
All contracts come with an amount of data.

Which does everything @roddersac wants
As long as he isn't stuck in a contract and outside the 14 day change of mind period

Apart from the ability to make calls once 3g is turned off.
