Hi all, I’m getting very cross with O2 Customer service and wondered if anyone here can help?

I requested an upgrade last week (iPhone 16 pro) but somehow was sent the new phone AND a new contract/number so I currently have 2 phones and two numbers.

i have tried phoning, messaging the Online Chat and even calling into an O2 shop but nobody seems able to cancel one of my contracts and transfer the old phone number to the new handset.

In frustration I have now initiated the return for my handset under the 14 day policy, but I cannot see anywhere how to cancel the new contract - everything leads back to ‘Get in touch’ ie the chat bot.

the bot has now told me that the team I need to speak to are closed (at 8.47pm) and their opening hours are 8am to 10pm.

I’m honestly at my wit’s end - any suggestions?

This is a customer to customer community, not O2, so we cannot access your account, sorry.

You need to contact O2.

Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (X) (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202

Other numbers to try here Guide: How to find help & contact O2

Thanks for the prompt reply, I understand that this is a community of users and not O2. I’ve tried pretty much all of the routes you suggested over the last 2 days without success.

I don’t plan to stay with O2 once (if?) I’ve got this sorted but wondered if any other users had any suggestions in the meantime.
