Do I keep my old number if I buy a new phone with the same provider but have a new sim?

Hi there, I just bought a new Sony and sim from O2, I was already with O2 on my old iPhone, so I don't know if I still need to get them to keep my old number on the new phone or if it happens automatically?

No if you want to keep your number and it requires a sim swap try this.Or you can go into any O2 store and they will do it for you

hi @Anonymous, the new sim that comes with the new phone, is it a blank sim, or is it a new contract?

Is it a PAYG phone?
If so, the easiest way is to use your current sim card in the new phone. Swap it for the correct size sim (if it's different) in any O2 shop.
If you are on contract, call CS on 202 to get the contract switched to the new sim card and also change your data package from iData to standard data whilst you are on the call.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
