Hey guys, i recently was having problems with services and was checking my bars etc in the my o2 app.
Alongside the bars in the o2 app is install a sim
i thought seen as there was an activate button here that if i clicked it it might solve some of the issues id been having with the services as id already been onto o2 customer services 10 times who found no issues with bars ( though there clearly was one) .
after clicking install a sim it said my phone number and activated. in green inside a big green tickbox
i have been with o2 ten years and this is NOT a brand new sim, however as id been in a barred state i wrongly asssumed this maybe just something needed activating.
i have no bill arrears
Thought nothing of it, this was yesterday. Today my mobile network is emergency only phone number unknown. there is an operator setting version in the box for o2 post paid (im pay monthly) IMEI is there and the sim is on the my o2 website login page but the phone is going round a restart/reboot loop.
I also have a phone services pop up that says sim1 is not provisioned but it doesn't take me anywhere. Also i have an option in the reset menu to reset network settings (used it before just sorts a lot of things out) but doesn't seem to do anything right now.
I have a physical sim, cant talk through the o2 app as you need a confirmation code to get in which I'm not receiving and im unable to go to my local o2 store rn as im at work. any suggestions?
i know about esims but it doesn't seem to be something i can do without calling them
my device is a google pixel fold
kindest and thanks in advance
booted my phone in repair mode and still reboot cycle

As you have internet try social media. Use one
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) ,
X Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
Or Call into an O2 store with photo ID

If your phone is in a boot loop it's probably a phone issue rather than sim.
