How do I go about cancelling my contract it ends on 9 th April and I would like to give them a months notice thanks

Easiest way is to call 202 and select the option for leaving O2 or, you can use chat to ask for your PAC but they can't cancel your contract.

It is not possible to cancel your contract via email.

As stated above the easiest way is to call 202 and speak to retentions to cancel your contract. Waiting times have reduced but be prepared for a wait on the phone.

After contacting o2 to cancel my contract 60 days before it expires i was told that i could not cancel unless i gave exactly 30 days notice from the end date of my contract, not 31 not 29 but exactly 30 days how can anyone give exactly 30 days notice from the date they took the contract out, this is totaly unreasonable and i have now sent a letter to offcom highliting this situation.

o2 are a terible company to deal with my partener had the same problem in the end she cancelled th direct debit and then o2 blacklisted her on her credit file, what a terible company.

certainly will be warning and advising everyone else i know not to deal with them.

OFCOM won't be interested in individual complaints at all and if your complaint with O2 ends in deadlock you need to go to the Ombudsman.

It doesn't have to be 30 days exactly, but they are entitled charge you for 30 days from the day you give notice.

Cancelling the direct debit unilaterally will cause a default against your account, which is what any other company would do.

 

As MI5 says Ofcom cannot take a complaint from an individual and you must use the O2 complaint procedure.
