Cancelling contract

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am on a pay monthly phone contract which expires on 17th September, I previously called O2 to confirm that I would like to cancel my contract and received a confirmation text to say that my contract would be cancelling. However my O2 profile still says that my 'renewal' date is 17th September and that I can upgrade. I am no longer living in the UK and apart from this forum there is no contact email address or option just to press CANCEL MY ACCOUNT !How am I meant to know whether my contract is cancelled and how can I contact O2 via email to have a confirmation on my actual profile and an email? At the moment all I have is a text message and confirmation over the phone. I need a contact email address. This is ridiculous. How can I make sure that O2 don't just tie me into another contract automatically?

Any advice/customer email address is much appreciated.

Even if the cancellation failed, which I doubt as you've had a text confirming it, you would only go onto a 30 day rolling contract.
