I currently have the S25 Ultra.
Nice phone but I dont NEED a phone this good. Id be happy with a large good screen, good sound and a middle of the road CPU.
I pay £48 For my S25 all in. £27 ish device and about £25 airtime.
I was looking at cheaper phones but noticed something concerning. The cheaper phones have lower device plans of course but then the airtime plans all go UP in price to keep the monthly cost almost the same!!!
Why would my 150GB Plus plan (Now 200GB as they changed it recently) be £24.99 but the SAME plan on a cheaper phone is £34.99! Same data, same o2 switch up, same everything. But now its £10 more per month for an extra £220 or more for o2's bank and for what?
Am I missing something here?

Because they can as people pay it.

Many millions don't care what it costs, they just want the latest phone.
People will never change

I always get my phone separate from any airtime which is SIM only.
Presently Google Pixel 9 Pro XL with 64GB plan at £8
