Not impressed that cannot use open discount on new iPhone 6s, I can't see it written into terms and conditions either. Considering leaving O2 after 15 years!! Vodafone will offer same discount so better off cutting our losses!! Not happy!!!!

Yes normally a 6 month wait. Mind you they are giving special allowances with data and upgrades so swings and roundabouts. Personally I'm gutted!

Think they need to make it more clear, reading through I couldn't see anything that said you had to wait 6 months on a new model phone, neither does it mention iPhones in the exclusions part!! When my partner called up to check we were told any phone any contract!! Funny how when you go to do it, suddenly you can't... Bit of a con if you ask me!! Don't like to complain, but at least make it clear!!

This is a customer forum, so complaining here won't get you very far. The link you need if you want to complain is here: http://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain

If you're still intent on moving to Vodafone, just make sure your signal is as good as you get now in the places you frequent most. The discount may be better, but won't do you much good if your signal isn't any good.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I am allowed to voice my opinion and I've already raised my concerns!! As its a customer forum, which I still I, I'm just voicing my opinion on the whole thing. Using Vodafone as an example that if they can do it don't see why others can't!!

I don't doubt it at all, just using a reference that on average, O2 are slightly better priced than voda and even more than the others.
O2 got criticised for non use of open codes in the past but this year have added on a lot more perks as stated by @jonsie.
But, the customer goes where is best and that's the choice you have.
