Why are all the mobile companies so incompetent and disjointed. I left o2 back in November and still getting bills because some one could not be bothered to update my records. Spent half an hour ringing but no one picks up so tried chat after half an hour of security questions and explanation I get told they can’t do anything and I am to just keep trying the number , as if I don’t have a job and this is my only job in life.
sort yourselves out and stop wasting peoples time.

The best way to do it is get a PAC or STAC and give that to another company - even if you just get a PAYG sim and throw it away after the transfer.
