Want to set up 3 way/ conference calling on my iPhone.

phoned o2 and after 2 1/2 hours and 5 calls, they just cut me off after saying they will check on it and come back to me……great customer service from the Philippines call centers eh! Last call they said it is not available but when I said it says it is available on o2 support they said it is for personal customers only not business - surely they have that the wrong way around? They then asked what conference calling actually is, so obviously have no idea or it does not translate in the Philippines!! 😟

After researching, it appears I need to ask o2 to activate it but they don’t seem to know what it is and just cut you off - any idea how to speak to someone technical or someone from the uk that can help?

@Gerryotwo

Ask to be transferred to a UK call centre or try on social media.

message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

An old thread but maybe of use

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/Activating-conference-calling/m-p/1380909#...

Personally I would go down the WhatsApp or similar route.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

From a business point, we all use Teams these days.

Hassle and cost free.

Guide: Conference Calling Hints and Tips - Avoiding Call Charges  was written when everyone was in lockdown and trying not to have massive charges after attending a virtual work call, it may help also @Gerryotwo.

Ok thanks and I use teams, WhatsApp etc but I just want to be able to accept a 2nd call and merge calls or add a 3rd call into the conversation to save making loads of calls back later……

There is lots of guidance available @Gerryotwo via Google, such as :-

How to make a conference call from your iPhone – Apple Support (UK)

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/111787

Have you tried that method and found that it does not work on O2 ?

Regardless of what Google says, it still has to be enabled first by O2.
