Issues with number port

Got my PAC code from EE and transferred  over to o2 Payg.

my EE number has now disconnected saying number is no longer in use and hasn’t ported over?

tried calling customer services 3 times for reassurance but keep telling me to wait 24hrs. 1 lady even advised I need to top up to activate the port but that didn’t work still so wasted £10.

the staff was more interested in converting me to monthly sim.

to add to my frustration no one is listening and am struggling to communicate and I am now concerned I have lost the number all together

not a good start at all?

I cannot get any confirmation the port is even going through at all. Something has clearly not worked as the number should not be out of use. 24 hrs is just prolonging the port and me being without the number.
