for some reason my iphone 7 wont allow me to send emails, how can i rectify this, do i have to delete the account and enter the details again.

Try sending ACTIVE to 2020 first then reboot the phone. 

If you still have the same problem then yes delete and reenter your account.

Sometimes deleting will work but the issue will likely be with your smtp settings.
Check to make sure they are correct for your email provider.

I found the iOS client dodgy at the best of times, unless I had an iCloud address. Which client are you using?

When I have had problems with my emails (sending or receiving) from my btinternet address, I just delete the account and reinstall. Always sorts the problem for me... (though I  don't use an iphone) wink

Never had a problem with iPhones and emails as long as the correct settings are installed.

Yes but as you know it's BT Internet that has given me the problems... not the phone...

You should do @MI5 you dragged me kicking and screaming into the 'magic world of Gmail'. Never had a problem with that one. (lthough I still use Bt Internet for the less important stuff) innocent
