Hi everyone, I was hoping you could help. I have got a daughter a new iphone 5s. I have put in the sim, it's all set up with wifi etc except I have no service. It is 4g ready which there is 4g in the town where we go often but where we live it's only 3g. I remember doing something to my other daughters phone to get both and I just can't remember or find it anywhere what I did? Thank you x

Is the sim new too? If so it will need activating either by cs or by doing a sim swap online.
There are some other possibilities too but try that first

Also one you have done the sim swap if it's not set to recived 4g .. ( I would expect it is already) you can go to
settings
Cellular
Enable LTE
that will enable 4g.

Mine was swapped in January. The sim was already 4g enabled. (All new sims from O2 are 4G)

I didnt need to do anything via settings at all. It found it automatically.

That doesn't enable 4g on the sim, just allows the phone to use it.
