The iPhone 6 is set up for 4G roaming but when abroad the data connection does not work.  Is there another setting or is the phone blocked by O2?  I have an iPhone 7 that works absolutely fine with the same settings.

Hi @MikeMiles1966

It could be your APN is wrong when abroad

If yours is "idata.o2.co.uk" change to "mobile.o2.co.uk"  or vice versa. See if it works then

Usually wrong bolt on has been applied for iPhones

The phone is currently in New York with my wide.  I already told her to change idata to mobile in APM but she said it didn't work.  Haven't tried the MMS settings. MMS Proxy is different.  Mine is 82.132.254.1:8080.  Will that affect WhatsApp data?

@MikeMiles1966

You might also have a roaming bar on that account which you can check with customer services.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

No, that's only for MMS messages.

There is probably a roaming bar on her account. The only way to remove this is by calling customer services

https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

There is an international number to call free of charge if she is on contract...

After trying to keep up with the barrage of posts about the outage, I'm not surprised @Cleoriff
