Hi my daughter is in Berlin- she can not get her roaming or internet to work. All works fine in the uk.

The message she gets is: ''Could not activate mobile data network'', 'you are not subscribed to a mobile data service'

We went into an o2 outlet in Harrogate to ask about this issue, because it happened before with 3 of the 4 people on our account

She really depends on being able to acces mobile data, please can you help

These are some tips to try :

  •   Reboot phone.
  •   Manually search for a different network
  •   If using an iPhone, change data apn to  mobile.o2.co.uk
  •   Call customer service to check for any roaming bars
  •   Or if you message O2 using the social media links below, they should be able to help you with this

@Vinny1

Some things to try:
Manually search for another network
Reboot the phone
Turn off 5g in network settings
If you have an iPhone change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
If still not working then contact O2 to remove the Roaming bar on your account.
If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

We are all customers here and cannot access accounts so you will need to contact O2

Message O2 on
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB
Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) ,
they should be able to help you.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Have you ever come across someone who does not use Facebook, Twitter or Instagram? Bingo! you found one. A phone number or a chat link would do but I can't find any

On every page there is a link to the o2 contact numbers, it is labelled Contact Us

The number to call is 0344 809 0202 a quick search of the forum would have given you that number.

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK
